Joseph H. Blatchford was born June 7, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI and moved to Beverly Hills, CA as a child. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles, and has a JD from University of California at Berkeley Law School. In 1959, Blatchford went on a good will tour of Latin America which promoted him to found ACCION International to send volunteers to South America.
